The Alger County Firefighter's Association is an organization comprised of the 8 fire departments located across the county. It provides a professional forum for interdepartmental communication to:

plan and train for potential challenges and hazards in the area.
Alger County is located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, along the southern shore of Lake Superior. The population is 9,383 (2015 estimate). It is made up of 8 townships (divisions of local government) and the county seat is the city of Munising. The county-level emergency services agency is the Alger County Sheriff's Department.
